Hi everyone have received my Skywatcher - Startravel-120mm telescope I was surprised at how heavy it is, so I have been looking for a Tripod /Mount such as a skywatcher EQ3 my questions are if I want to upgrade my scope at a later date would this size Tripod/Mount be sufficient? and do I go for a GOTO mount at the moment I couldn't find my way around the Sky's and my main purpose is to photograph the night sky's, I have been on Skywatcher site looking for a manual for the model I have and cant seem to find one, I also think I need a finder scope, thanks for your patience in answering these novice question.

Hi Roger. Thats not a heavy scope, an EQ3 should be fine. They are often posted on Astronomy buy and sell and Second hand Astronomy Equipment on facebook (collection only), you could also try facebook marketplace or Ebay. Look here for new price comparision =£176 new (unmotorised +£95 for powered option), £419 GOTO. There is an astro buy/sell site online too. Best wishes, Greg
